Alpha Psi Omega

The Beta Mu chapter of Alpha Psi Omega seeks to bring excellent theatrical and performance art to the Union community by hosting shows and providing a community for students interested in the theatre. Toward that end, Alpha Psi Omega co-sponsors all theatre productions during the school year. Members are active in every phase of the production process, whether through set design, direction, stage management or acting.

To be eligible for membership, students must be regularly enrolled in the university and must meet the minimum point requirements outlined by the National Constitution.

Members have the opportunity to audition for acting programs such as the Tennessee Theatre Association (TTA) and the Southeastern Theatre Conference (SETC), participate in off-campus trips to see live theater, and serve at the local Meadowbrook nursing home. Past members have secured acting jobs through SETC and started successful groups such as Blank Slate Improv.
